Lost one of my Blue Maruloides last night. It got electrocuted by my electric eel. Some how the 2.5 feet electric eel manage to pushed the egg crate cover and went down 4 feet below to my pair of Blue Maruloides and filp over the cover of my my snakehead's tank. Woke up this morning and one of my Blue Maruloides was on the floor and still alive but the other one was inside the tank with the electric eel. It was still alive but the body seems paralyzed but the pectoral fins and gills were still moving. 3 hours later it died.:cry: I tried to hard to make it live but there was just nothing I could do now. I stayed 3 hours by the tank and left the snakehead to the surface to take a breath and I even missed 2 hours of my class from school.:irked:

Crap this sucks! :( It was one of my first maruloides as it's hard to get snakeheads here in Canada. Also probably one of a rare maruloides. I don't see any other blue maruloides around or other pics from other hobbyist.

Now I got one left Blue maruloides and it's doing fine, but the other one wasn't so lucky. It's suck as the one that died had developed more flower pattern than the one that survived.

I feel angry with the electric eel but at the same time I also blamed myself for not putting more weight on the cover.:irked:

so the eel left his tank and went inside another tank??

sorry for loss though.

Yep that's what happened. The electric eel's tank was above the african lungfish tank and the snakeheads was beside right next to it. Didn't even expect that the eel would crawled out of it's tank as it's a knifefish species not a true eel.

Wow! Sorry for your loss and man! I never knew those fish can actually crawl out of their tank and enter another one, and on top of that drag a fish from their tank into his. And on top of that again! Finding a way to open the top of the other fish's tank.

Amazing fish, but truly and dearly sorry for your loss man. :(

OMG...im sorry bro, anyway pls take care the other one ya...

Sorry for your loss pare.
