Just wanted to share my night....

On my way home from work tonight I got a call from my girlfriend that I needed to get home quick as the fish were having issues. When I got home I found out that my 12 inch p-bass had tried to eat my 17 inch black aro. The aro seems to be fine however you can see the marks from the p-bass about 2.5 inches up his tail. Needless to say both of the p-bass are now in a spare 55 that I had and are going to be finding a new home...

Don't you hate when some fish don't realize that in the grand scheme of things they are the filler fish...not the prize pet?

Haha I love that! Yes I have been there done that, like when my convict would attack my huge sunshine oscar.

He just didn't know who he was in the presence of. Convicts are always trippin' though. Sorry to hear about your hurt aro, but its good he is still alive.

It's one common case which happen when owner is too confident with their PB in there with small aros. Thumb of the rule, whenever you wanna keep any fish together with aro do take note of the size of the tankmates mouth.;)

point well taken...His new tankmates will be 4 adult discus...I somehow don't think that they will be able to get their mouthes around him...

Imposible:ROFL: But you may wanna feed those discus more.

do you got pics of te bites on the arowana?

You might expect another call from your girlfriend to rescue the 4 discus, please don't murder your discus.
