Bad week

Having a bad week. Lost my Umbee Wednesday morning. The next day I wake up to this. My blue lobster...gone. My Male green terror....gone. The culprit my R.T.C. He's about to be for sale.....Im in that kind of mood.....

sorry for your loss! keep the cat with other likesize cats. set up another tank for cichlids. either way youd wake up with everything in your umbees mouth. community tanks are always a risk. again sorry!

you realize they eat large crustaceans in the wild right? I think this was just a matter of time imo. I had one eat my crayfish that I raised for 2 years. I didn't sweat it though. RTC will eat anything that can barely fit in their mouths and some things that you can never figure out how they fit in their mouth. BTW your catfish is gorgeous!!! If I was closer I'd come take him off your hands!!!

LOL I was actually thinking the same thing. The only tank mates i have found for my 20" plus catfish are feeder guppies that clean up after them. Other then that Tryal and error of tank mates has cost me close to 100.00 in buying fish onsale at petco. If its bigger then a guppy its worth eating. I even tried a pair of 2 inch balla sharks they where gone that night.
