Bag Buddies and..........

Does Petsmart or Petco sell bag buddies? I can get them off of aquabid for cheap but they come in bottles of 400 tablets and I only need a handful cause I will be transporting fish this weekend for 4 hrs.


And..... what is the blue stuff that Rapps uses when he ships fish. I can't remember for the life of me.

I have shipped fish successfuly cross country and down to Georgia and have never used bag buddies and have never heard of them untill recently.I think the blue stuff is something to calm the fish,have'nt used that either.

I'm gonna use them just in case. I don't wanna drive 4 hrs back from ATL and have dead fish by the time I get home. Just being careful;)




Anyone know if they sell it at Petsmart???

methyline blue, it helps ward off stress induced infection helps fish utilize lower O2 concentrations in their blood for short periods of time. I think they have a tranquilizer in them as well.
 
I work at Petsmart (stocker) and I have never seen bag buddies. Then again IDK what it is so I doubt I would notice. So more than likely no, but maybe just a little chance that they do.
 
Bag Buddies is no longer manufactured. There's another product called Ship Shape FF that's available. It's basically a powdered form of Bag Buddies. Kensfish carries this product.
