Hi, when you say you have found an interesting fish, do you mean you have found one for sale?
The important thing with the dwarf Goonch is correctly identifying it. The true dwarf is thought not to grow much more than 8”.
most other Goonch grow over 2 ft with some easily doubling that and more. The bagarius group has been re structured with the dwarf now being named b. vegrandis , however even planetcatfish.com has the same photos used for a number of the species so confusion still exists.

Well I am a fishermen and saw Jeremy Wades show years ago. Yesterday I read about golden masheers did some research came across a website near me that sells them. They are only 24cm max length
24 cm max length would be about right for a true dwarf Goonch but many normal Goonch get sold as dwarfs only to them grow bigger. Have to see the photos of the fish.
