how long will these fit in a 270 ? foot print of 3x6 and can they be kept with other cats and fish like rtc and dats ?

I have a Bagarius yarrelli. I'm not sure about yours but it's a safe bet they are similar? Mine likes cold fast running water. It's a very slow grower. I keep mine at between 70 and 75 degrees in a 125 alone.
If your other fish can handle the cold water I would say go for it! the 270 should be large enough for a long time

well one that size would be lunch pretty quick i would think around mt rtc. wich sub species would be a good match and also have the mean looks of the yarelli
well i dont think my rtc or my gar would apreciate the cold water so i am ruling this big cat out

my gf isnt goin to be happy tho she is the one that is dieing to get one.ha good idea. i hope my rtc lives in this tank for longer than that. he is only 6 inches now. im figuring he will be ok for about 2-3 years n after that i think he will have to go to the zoo or somewhere with a giant tank
The RTC will put on a foot a year (minimum). A good rule of thumb is to never keep cigar-shaped tankmates with RTCs (like the gar). They will become food or food attempts by the cat. Even if the 2 are the same length. And, since RTCs grow faster than gars, the time WILL come when the gar will look like a perfect snack to the cat.
