Bagarius Yarelli Progress Info

Hey. Just wanted to call out all owners of Bagarius Yarelli and just wanted to know how each of yours are doing.

I'm trying to get a better idea of how they're growth progresses and how they're health is as they get bigger.

I know they are rare (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that most Bagarius species are new to the hobby), which is why I'd like to know from those who have had their experiences with them to see how they do in aquariums.

In all honesty the knowledge of the Bagarius Yarelli is relatively new to most people in general, outside of the Himalayan's. Wish i had one lol

i have bin looing for sometime now and just got one at 14". i will have him home soon

Mine is about 18 to 20 inches. Eats every other day. I feed Tilapia Filet and sometimes market shrimp peeled.

I have two yarrelli around 13'' and some B.suchus & B.bagarius. They grow pretty slow for me though , I've moved the two yarrelli's to a 5ft with a 15'' Hoplias , hope they start to grow a-bit faster.

What temps do you keep them at? Mine is at room temps, summer is about 80 but I have a fan on it so I think it's around 77. Winter time it's in the low 70's high 60's area. I think this contributes to a slow growth rate. I've had mine about 18 months now and it grew from 6" to 20" in that time.

Mine are quite consistently at 80 or slightly lower temps , don't feed them much though.
