I have a small Bagarius yarelli. I can't figure out what he eats. I've put small feeders in, carnivore pellets, massivor pellets, frozen blood worms in the tank. He doesn't seem to care for none of these. The pellets foul the water. I also have a ornate bichir in the same tank. The feeders slowley disappear. I don't think the bichir is eating them all. Maybe the Bagarius is eating at night. He's pretty lazy durring the day. Need help.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. What temp should be good. I changed the heater to 75 deg f. I also took the bicher out so I can tell what he is eating and cut up a couple frozen shrimp and told him good night.

take a look at it right after you woke up, maybe you need to take off the rest of the frozen shrimp, so it don't get rotten in the water.
do this everyday, untill it get used to it.
good luck with him, pics please.
BTW, tks for the pics you sent.

they need really really oxygenated water.
and most people say they need colder water, however ive seen people keep them in warm water.
i had a b. bagarius.
kept in in warm water no problems.
it ate at any time of the day as long as the food got to its mouth.
i fed whitebait and shrimp.

I also keep bagarius they need high current water flow . they can tolerate temps up to 80f but 75 -78 is ok .When I first gt mine it would not eat .They relish ghost shrimp once you them on it you can supplement with gupys ..They will only eat after the light goes off and if no one is watching untill they get used to their environment I now have mine on raw white shrimp that I put on a shishkabob skuer and hand feed it .
