I will be visiting the P.I. for the month of April and will be staying here.
My family had this built adjacent to the house I grew up in. I was actually born and raised in the PI, but have been in the states for some time. As a kid I used to have so much freedom and would explore the surrounding barrios. I also distinctly remember the amount of time i invested in finding spiders, keeping them in matchboxes, and having them fight (ask a filipino friend, he might know about this). While these memories may not realistically represent the reality of the PI today, it was this notion of rural farmland surrounded by jungles and mts that I clung to and really miss.
