Does anyone have luck getting their bahia to feed on something other than pellets? Besides bloodworm or live.
Want to get this 4" runt to catch up with the others.

Are you complaining about your bass eating pellets? Man, I wish we all had these problems...lol

Anyways, have you tried shrimp? My Bass have always loved that.

Try tilapia cut up in bits ken.Have you tried feeding massivore?Or carnivore sinking pellots more calories.

My bahia didn't start to eat non pellet food until he was about 6. He saw his azul and kelberi coz eating tilapia so they tried it out. He has been chomping it down ever since. Oh ya, he also would eat massivores thinkings it's sirloin steak. I would advise moving him into a growout and power feed him for a few weeks on pellets.

Tried: frozen kill, freeze dried krill, shirmp, smelt, silverside. All no go. Only accepts Hikari Gold.
Yeah got them all on pellet early but this guy wasn't fast enough and didn't get his fair share. Isolated him because he was so small. I was afraid the others will swallow him. He has gain 1.5" by himself but what am I going to do what one fish of this size?. Need to get him back in with the others.

I guess I wasn't clear about my feeding motive. How do I gain size on the runt is what I meant. I think I should try massivore since a number of you guys have suggested it and is one option I haven't tried. He already is being power fed in a growout by himself.
I fear putting him in with his coz (broko) because they heard on the streets that brokos look better than bahias. With a complex like that he is bound to get beat up.
Thank you all for suggestions. I like to hear more ideas.

Just a question why are you not using feeders?

I thought feeders were not recommended.?????Ppl tell me once they get hooked they won't go back.
Come to think of it, it was about the same time when I started lossing dither is when the other bahias gained size. Good question HCR.

Haha.....that's just my opinion about brokos. Other might disagree on my statement. The fastest way you can get these guys to grow is feeding tilapia but it's not easy getting them to eat that. I have the same problem with my pbass. One grew to 7" while the other is still about 4.75". Sometimes patience is the best thing to do or you might end up killing it.
