Yesterday i picked up two 1.5 inch kelberi peacock bass under the name yellow kelberi. I hope they are what the store owner said they are, I guess time will tell. I have looked at the juvenile id sticky but i am still at a loss. Throughout the thread as they grow if you have experience with identification please post your thoughts.

Tank:
As of now is 10 gallon grow out/Qt tank marineland 30 hang on back filter, temp 84.5 water change 1 time a week 50 percent
Tank used for pellet trianing and health monitoring. The fish were given a dip in methylene blue as a prevention before going into tank. They are smashing blood worms and chasing but not eating pellets yet.
Future tank:150 tall 4'×2'×3'20161107_221246.jpg 20161107_221225.jpg 20161107_221239.jpg 20161107_221324.jpg

You may be better off explaining your situation and ordering a couple more rather than waiting. They grow quick.

I called them yesterday they can't get any more kelberi but they said they could order some regular peacock bass (which i think will be mostly farmie hybrids) next week.

So i got lucky and got a hold of another kelberi. He is about the same size as the largest of the two I had. Once in the tank the bass all started to school together and coming out more immediately. I have noticed some flaring and bumping out of the biggest two they pay no attention to the slightly smaller one.
