Had an idea inspired by my Oscar's eating habits. I'm still unsuccessful in getting him to eat pellets (he'll grab a stray one soaked in garlic sometimes). Nothing, and I mean nothing has worked. Starving, tricks are all a bust. He won't eat substitutes more than twice (shrimp, tilapia). If I stuff pellets in anything Brick sifts it out and eats the meat.
As he's grown he's become a true insect /natural food eater. He gulps giant mealworms and inhales nightcrawlers like nothing. I even tried soaking nightcrawlers in Vitachem for a few minutes but they turned really long and stringy like they were melting! (Brick ate them anyway)
So I was thinking to try bait attractant on pellets. Some of the gels are made with live bait. Thoughts?
