bait for bass/trout

does anyone know from experience the best bait for bass or trout? also, does anyone have a favorite hook? i have some nice red hooks but i cant remember what brand they are.

I think the question is too broad. It all depends on the lake, river, pond, structure, forage, food in the lake, weather, sun light or not. Then again if you want basic just go for worms lol.

for rainbows ,night crawlers injected with air with a saringe
setup is hook ,1' line ,weight pull your line tight no slack
and wait catch limit in 1/2 hour were i fish enyway
the worm will float up a foot of bottom lake is full of suckers
so you have to get worm off bottom

Circle hook if you're lazy or a little slow to set the hook.

gotta go with senkos work everywhere for me . i use a 4 inch one in pumpkin color. recently caught my biggest bass, 8 lbs.

I agree with Senkos for bass, especially this time of year.

I actually prefer the Kanami brand in GoldShad with a 5/0 wide gap hook. As summer progress throw top water (buzzbait,stick bait, or frog) and if I fish misses make sure you have another rig set up with a senko, youll more then likely catch that fish!

Ive never been trout fishing cause I live in the South so I have no idea about them!

I like the circle hooks, they seem to catch them in the lip instead of throat.
