so cal and singapore
I just got my first fishing rod yesterday. n im fishing in my neighbourhood pond.:headbang2 Im very certain ther is fish there cuz i saw some ppl fishing successfully for fishes there. Im looking to catch smaller fish that i can put in my 55 gallon like spotted sunfish etc. I dont mind catching the big guns once in a while too. I have a shake-speare 6' lake/pond combo. so the question is what bait would best attract most bites:D

wax worms and meal worms work great, i fish a lot and ive noticed that they work way better than night crawlers my favorite for catiching sunfish/bluegill is meal worms.

i would use small lures they will bite anything small. they will bit earthworms as good as anything though if you use a bobber set it at different levels. for example in the haet of the day move it up cast close to structure, branches and large rocks etc.

Will defrost market shrimp work? I havent got the chance to buy worms yet. But i do have 1 inch grubs and some other assorted stuffs in my tackle box that came with my rod. What about cereal and stuffs that can be found at home?

That what I use :D Catched lots of sunfishes and catfish :P

worms work, like red wigglers. small spoons tipped with something, grubs work great i've found even the berkly grubs work well. if you want a small one i use to just wad out a little with a small hook on line in my hand. the tiny ones tend to be fearless, like bite wiggling toes
