i was on a sit yesterday and i read that baking powder or baking soda raises your ph

1. Which one works?
2. How much to use?

BS has a max ph of 8.4

Well there is a bit of an issue with using BS to raise the ph. What is your ph at now? And why do you need to raise it?

BS will raise the ph very rapidly. This could harmful to what ever fish you have in the tank. With BS a little will go a long way. I would not suggest using BS I would suggest using crushed coral for a long term water buffer.
