I'm looking for a straight answer on the use
of Baking Soda on DIY CO2 kits.
I've never used it at all, and gather that
it's basic function is to slow down yeast metabolism.
I had assumed that it was for pH control.
wat is the final word?

I would also like to know said information.

I use it because I noticed that my co2 "reaction" was longer, and took place over more time. These are mere observations, with no actual numbers to back those facts up.

It was recommended to me, and those were the results. I have tinkered with many other things...heat of water, heat of the 2L bottle...so those results might have come from several different factors.
