I have a 3.5" bala in my 55 and want to know how big he will get in the 55,how long can he will live in there for,and how big of a tank I will need for him in the end. Warning a 125 gallon is problem the best I can get.

The good news is that they dont grow too fast. In about a year or so he will be slamming full speed in to the glass. Most balas i know of usually die from running in to the glass cause something spooked them. One guy I know of has 1x 15" and 2x 13" in a 300g and they still hit the sides. Awesome fish though. Hope this helps.
It's ending up that a 6 foot tank is not going to happen for space issues in that we don't have a 6 foot wall in basement to put it so I decide to work towards a 120. Dimensions are 48x24x24
