What is the min. tank size for a Bala Shark?
My step dad has had 2 in his 75 with africans and they were getting beat up(duh). Now they are in my 75. They are doing fine. About 4" But my step dad Feeds about once a day and a WC less than once amonth other than that just adds water.
Did that stunt them? He has had one for alittle over a year the other about 6months.

2 of them in the new 75 should be ok. They probably do better in bigger schools. Keep the lid on tight. Feed frozen food and Change partial water and they should grow well.

they get to 14" so I'd suggest you plan to go bigger than 75G
at full size you'd want at least a 180:)

IME w/ bala sharks, they are certainly better off in schools.. and a school(6ish) would certainly require a 180. Its a good excuse to convince your dad to let you get a 180 . They'll be good in a 75 till they hit like 7-8", but if at all possible, you should get a bigger tank as soon as possible. Also, adding additional specimens soon would be a good idea too, as large bala sharks are uncommon and expensive where I'm from...
