I have two and they are about the same size after 3months 3inches. are they know as slow growers???

tank size, water quality, food quality and tank mates all effect there growth and over all quality of life.
Even in my 90 gallon The one I have (I know, I had more, bu I have lost a few...) It seams quite content to eat scraps that my other fish can't find. It is healthy looking and not missing any scales. Maybe 4"? I have had larger fish, bu they NEVER missed meals.
I just made a move of a few fish and this bala went to a different 90 with active scoolers. It schooled with these fish before and I'm sure it'll feel safer too.

I had 2 about 1 1/2 yrs ago, bought them at about 4" had them about 6 months, they got to about 7".
I never had them but my friend did and his grew fast, he didnt even do much water changes lol.
He just kept feeding them colour bits.
