Ball Python with perasite?

My brother in law has a baby ball, about 4 months old or 5 about 18 inchs or bigger , and i notice 2 lil parasites on the snake cralling around, very very small, what can it be and how do i get rid of it? hes soaking his snake in warm water right now and cleaning out the tank?

anything else?
 
Those would be mites... water is good for removing them... take everything out of the tank, buy some Mite Off, you can get it at your lfs, spray the tank with it. Leave the tank as bare as you can, i put paper towels down, the water bowl and that was it. Spray the snake with Mite Off, ect, read the bottle. Very common with BP's not a big deal just make sure you take care of the problem :)

ok thanks i will do that and for the bark in the tank trash it? since mites would be there to correct?
 
use the might off on the snake.... but to save a lil money you could just use a strong bleach/hot water cleaning on the tank.... kills everything.... rince tank really well with cold water when done and add snake... this is what i have done..

and would i be able to hold off tell saturday morning? or friday night?

( dont get paid tell friday night) and brother in law mom doesnt give him money, but i'll tell her and she might get it before saturday thats just worse case scenario!

the sooner you treat the better but yea you could wait...
