Wellt week, and this know, I had ordered fish this past week, and this incuded two baloon bodied rams, one of which passed on from traumatic stress, my LFS and I concluded. When I awoke today I checked the other ram to find him huffing and puffing on the bottom. So I immediately pulled a fifty percent water change, and now he seems to be a little better, I'm not sure. With the other one it was different, he just didn't look so good from the get go. This one looked fine since yesterday. But now he's swimming a little more, so maybe there was something in the water? I'm not sure, any ideas?

Bad news, he's back to resting on the bottom, getting caught up in currents from the filter and stuff. Can someone PLEASE try and help me here?

I cant help but i will say ive never had one live longer than two or three weeks for me.They require pristine water and a planted tank.I keep pretty good water but its not pristine-i do 2 water changes a week.I like the way they look but i wont get another one till i make a planted tank and keep nothing but 4 or 5 of them. And by the way mine acted the same before they died.Good luck.

Huh...my water is as close to pristine as ever, my tank is planted, and my tank is peaceful...his fins are all intact, he's just not doing good...dang, this stinks, 12 bucks wasted on doomed fish, no refunds either < . >

Maybe they dont transfer well?Kinda like clown loaches sometimes.Maybe set up a drip to acclimate them next time?I just sat the bag in for 15 minutes and put him in my sons tank.Wish i could help other than just speculate.

Hmm...I really don't know, I floated them both for a while, didn't transfer any of the LFS's water to mine just in case... surprises me, I also keep young angels in that tank, and they aren't belly upping, and from all I've seen angels are so sensitive to everything :P Guess I'll have to get this all sorted out tomorrow.
