Waxy monkey frog

Smokey jungle frog

Chinese gliding frog

Bunch of poison dart frogs

I'll post more later. Lots of absurdly large predatory fish, 15" frontosa, 3' pufferfish, Amozon river basin fish, gar, sturgeon, sheephead, and lots more.

Nice pics. I like the frillie. Makes me miss my old one.

How crowded was it when you went? It was crowded the last time I went. You should hit up the DC zoo.

The baltimore aquarium is pretty cool. Don't know if you saw but seem to be the only place I have seen 1' (yes that is foot) brown african knifefish. Cool place.

Does any public aquarium have Clown Loaches? :(

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the pics!Baltimore is one of my favorites, hoping to make the family trip to there this spring!:headbang2

The frillie was really cool. I went back to the Aussie exhibit before we left and he was spreading his collar at the blue tongued skink, but I missed an awesome shot because these old farts were standing in the way, and I'm not exactly tall. There were a lot of people there and I did not see that knifefish. I don't think they had any clown loaches. I plan on going to the DC zoo soon, excellent amazon section!!! Here are a few more.

Tiny gator gar

Enormous frontosa. This family was blabbering about what it could be, so I informed them

Elephant nose got scared of the camera and didn't come out until I left.

Everyone was fascinted by the e-eel.

Cool seahorse shot

Very curious boxfish. Everyone was laughing at how we were interacting.

Forgot what this thing was called, but it has teeth!

Puffins!!!!!

Huge california sheephead!!! Right after feeding time, and he wouldn't stay still!

Big fellow wanted a close-up shot

Flag tail that was well over a foot long

Royal pleco

Geos

Severum faceoff

Gorgeous pleco!!!!

Chowing down on some cucumber

Cool looking turtle that just woke up

Interesting little fish

Big old arowana. At least 4' long with his tail bitten off!!! Really bad drop eye.

Large, smart ray. Cooperated with me very well for this pic.

Giany Amazon river turtle that bit off the silver aro's tail. This big girl pulls people into the water when they go to catch her for check ups.

Gorgeous discus. They liked chasing eachother

Dwarf pike cichlid male. Lots of fin nipping in this tank.

Cool turtle that liked watching people walk above it.

Very cool frog, don't remember the name

Eyelash viper, I love these things!!!

Another dart frog

Prehensile tail lizard

I'll put up the big reef display tomorrow along with sharks and rays.

An Australian exzibit is bigger and better in a foriegn country then its own land!

Eric, UnderWater World is my closest Public Aquarium and they have a 2,000G or so bad setup consisting of a very poor mixture of fish. These include australian rainbows, bala sharks, red tail black sharks, clown loaches, synodontis, barbs, some unidentiflable cichlid and I THINK there is a bunch of rainbows in there. The tank is a peaceful one at that, just not a good display for Public Aquaria.

That's kinda funny! They did some cool things with the birds and bats in this exhibit. At the end of the day the trainers call the birds and flying foxes back to the cages, allowing them to move around the whole enclosure as they please. It was all funded by Animal Planet, so that's why it's so well done.
