Bamboo Caves

Has anyone ever tried using sections of bamboo poles for caves? I think they would look cool and be quite natural looking.

Wonder how they'd hold up? If they would ever waterlog to the point of sinking?

Yes they will water log, and they do work very well as breeding caves.

FYI on the bamboo... Check to make sure it is natural bamboo and not treated. The home depot by me sells both treated/untreated. I believe the treated is for use in the garden as a rot preventer. I've never use the treated ones so I don't know if they are a diff. color, but I would ask just to be safe.
