bamboo shark or egg?

hi all, i'm having a hard time deciding whether to buy a brown banded bamboo shark egg or a juvenile. my LFS currently has 2 eggs for sale at the moment, however the juveniles will come in 2 weeks time. so which option should i go for? i've heard of cases when the egg does not hatch and stuff so i'm kinda afraid to go for the shark egg. could you guys advise me on this? THANKS
i have a 120g ready and running for it already, and a 360g will be its next home in a year or so, so housing it isn't a problem.

Get a pup over an egg. Make sure you see it eating prior to buying it.

A pup may be slightly more expensive to start with - but they are worth it.

With an egg - there's a whole host of problems - includng the fact that the egg may not hatch at all.

I've only ever had one egg not hatch, but pups are preferable. I agree with Zoodiver - make sure it's eating. Also remember that these sharks are nocturnal and may not feed during the day.

will a 20" coral cat shark mess with a bamboo pup? i have one in my tank atm, it belongs to my uncle. he's off on a buisness trip and it will be in my tank until he returns. will the coral cat try to bully the pup?
