My lil nephew was eating a banana and decided to put some in the fish tank...

my pacu devoured the piece my nephew in the tank in seconds.

ive never fed my fishes vegies/fruits will my pacu be harmed??

itll be fine. lots of fish like fruits/veggies as an ocassional treat. i wish my fish did!!

fruit is a major part of a pacu's diet in the wild many people feed their pacu fruits like, bananas, grapes, strawberries, etc.

I used to feed my Pacu banana and grapes. They are omnivorous, and it's good food for them.

coming from a keeper of these guys, i can assure you, your nephew just did your pacu a favor :)

giving them some leftover fruits and raw veggies and even plain nuts that you have is the greatest thing for them. their diet in the wild mainly consists of fruits, nuts and things of that nature that are abundant and fall into the water constantly.

just try to give these things right before a WC until you see just how messy some are, so you know what can be given daily, and whats a treat before a WC

Pacus loves fruits and veggies. I hear that in the wild, their diet consist of a lot of fruits and veggies.
