In my opinion, no.
The "Banded Knife" fish or Carapo Knife can be very aggressive, especially at the size you have yours at, and may nip at fins of other fish or worse. Or the tank mates will pick on him. But this is just my opinion. :)

so if a banded knife fish attacks my other fish would a black or brown ghost knife do the same?

I might have to disagree with you. I personally have 3 carapos and compare to zebra and tiger which are more fin nipper, carapos are more shy and will hide a lot. They are more likely to get beaten up or picked on than Tiger knifefish which will fight back if being picked on.

As for the OP, those tank mates should be fine. I'll be worry about the barracuda as I don't know which species of barracuda you have. The red tail paraya might kill it when it outgrows the barracuda. If that's a yellow tail barracuda then it should be fine as they grow bigger, but if that's a red tail barracuda then it might get eaten in the future.

As for most species of nakedback knifefish. they will likely nip anything that try to get near it's hiding spot as a form of defense. So you have nothing to worry about as it a lil' nip that won't likely happen all the time will just heal up in no time. It won't give a serous damage against those fish.

sounds like it will work as long as none of the fish can fit each other in there mouths i have a payara with some jackdepsys and silver$$S in my 180g btw wat size tank u runnin

They are easily to tell part. May not be to new keepers.

They are 100% Carapo.

Brazilian carapo and Venezuelan carapo have different patterns. Mine are from Venezuela.

Brazilian carapo looks very similar to a tiger knife but lacking in more orange or yellowish color.
