Banjar Red Aggression

Hey guys been noticing my Banjar Red [Blaze] who is 12" or so has been chasing around the Florida Gar [7-8"] at times.

No biting or chomping but i am a bit concerned.

Tank is a 130G [5.5 [L] x 1.5 x 2 [H] ] with the aro and gar keeping company with CLs, Ornates, Endii, Sen.

Feeding sinking carnivores, massivores for the CLs and Polyps.

Aro and Gar on Shrimp and Floating sticks.

I hope this is sufficient info


Just hope i dont have to rush into building a 250G

I have kept a few over the years, and have found banjars to be the same as every other asian aro. It all comes down to the individual fish. If it's only do the occasional chase and no biting, then I wouldn't be concerned.
