well after searching through a few different websites to try to find my answer i give up and am gonna hope someone here knows.

i have 2 banjo catfish. they're pretty cool, i really like them. i've had 1 for a few months now and just picked up another yesterday. the 'older' one is really dark and the 'new' one is really light with a dark band in the middle of its body. i've seen the dark one shed its skin a few times. usually its buried and i only see it at feeding time. but when it sheds it hangs out in the plants for a few days beforehand. i was just on scotcat and it said shedding might be due to poor water conditions, which has me paranoid now. i change about 20-30% of my water every 2 weeks (give or take a few days). the banjos live with a black ghost knife and usually the day after a feeding theres poo in the bottom of the tank which i use the gravel vac to suck out and keep my tank lookin clean. so i wouldn't think my water would be a problem. they get fed every 2-3 days and eat everything, so theres no food decomposing either. i've read on other sites (can't remember which) that shedding was normal. so i'm confused. does anyone elses banjo cat shed?

and of course, can't start a thread without pics...hehe. the top 3 are the dark one and the bottom 3 are the light one
