Banjo Catfish

Hello, I am wondering about Banjo Catfish...just the general questions like:

1. How big do they get?

2. How hearty are they?

3. How big of a tank is a full grown Banjo going to need?

4. How fast will they grow?

And a more complex question pertaining to my specific situation:

1. My 75 Gallon tank houses Some Juvenile fish namely a Lutino Tiger Oscar, One Clown loach (the other died recently and my buddy will be getting a new loach friend soon), 1 Hybrid Synodotis (received as an x mas gift but getting large quicker than expected), and one Bristlenose pleco. Will a Banjo cat be compatible with these fish for the short term? I will eventually be moving the O and bristle nose intointo a Larger tank but wouldlike to keep the banjo with the loaches and Synodotis.

Any thoughts?

They look and act like dead leaves. They may not be able to complete with syn. for food, and your oscar may out right kill it as it does not move much at all. I've been told that they do well with Discus, i have my two housed with Columbian Tetras, NeonTetras, Cories, and a briss pleco in a 55 gal. In my oppinion, you should not house these guys with any large or agressive eating fish.

Thank you very much. After researching this fish further I found that it is fairly small as well so definitely not a candidate for any of my tanks.

Is the Larger Aspredo Aspredo of the same temperament as Bunocephalus coracoideus?
