look the species up on fishbase, sure you'll sure you'll get alot of info on them.

they get huge

man that fish is an endanger fish just where the asian aro is best not buy since im buying a thosand dollar asian aro dont want to spent another thosand on the Probarbus Jullieni

Still common in the Mekong and both wildcaught and captive-bred juvenilles are quite readily avaliable in season in Bangkok.

except you can't keep it in US cuz it got similar status as asian aro .... but thats just US, probably doesn't outside of US

IIRC the reason for it being on the list is because of its status in Malaysia. Yet it still fished and sold as food on the market there. Is it actually that endangered in Malaysia? Any captive breeding program there?

Easy to keep, easy to feed: eats all types of flake, pellet, and frozen foods, but not live fish. Quick growing to about 12", then slows down considerably. Not too difficult to find in the US currently - expect to spend around $100 for 5" or so. Do NOT keep with aggressive feeders like mahseers or hostile fish like CA cichlids. Best kept with peaceful smaller fish or equally slow feeders like Catlocarpio, chinese suckermouths, etc.
