I see a lot of people with bare bottom tanks... I was curious as to what benefits a bare bottom tank has. What are pros and cons of both? Im interested in trying it one day i love how my tank looks witht substrate. I dont know if id really go bare bottom unless there are huge pros.. Let me know what insight you all have out there

The huge pro for bare bottom is that it's easy to clean and some people like the loo of a bare bottom tank. Personally I have had both and I prefer bare bottom because I am lazy and don't like cleaning substrate even tho it only takes 5 extra minutes

No one does... Unless you get paid.

I have a 75g bare-bottom, and I can't WAIT to get some substrate in it. It IS a lot easier to clean, but such an eye-sore - no colors to contrast and make your fish pop, no character or body to it....just ....a tank

Im not a big fan of BB tank, its just to plan. Yes its easy to clean, but having gravel or sand it is so much better looking and add decoration. It also hold a lot of bacterial VS BB tank doesnt hold bacterial other then in the filters.
