bare tank

i got lots of wood in my tank which the fish like to hide behind at times, but would it be ok if i removed it all and just had gravel on the bottom? would the fish get stressd? or nethn?

the fish are

10 inch oscar
10 inch red head cichlid
13 inch pacu
2x 6inch jack dempseys
school of silver dollars
8 inch pleco
and a convict

i kno the cichlids like to hide and pleco ,and sumtyms my pacu likes a break
but would effect thm if there wer no hiden spots?

It's always best to naturally emulate the conditions in which the fish may be used to in nature. I have kept bare tanks with Oscars, but never the rest of your list. I would suggest something inside the tank. Doesnt have to be much but something is better than nothing.
