LOL Glad you figured it out... it just so happened that the first time I had seen a thread like this I still had not heard it from any of my cats... which meant that I immediaty went and grabbed Buster (my RTC) out of his tank to "make him bark" LOL

Funny part his... he hasn't shut up since...When I feed the fish around him he will "call for room service"

tghis is why catfish are petfish the have attitudes and bark what more can you ask for?

If a catfish Barks... does a DogFish Meow? :grinno:
My unclw caught one and while he went to cut the hook it hissed at him and he freaked so he cut the lin and kicked it back into the water.

I used to catch them all the time in when I was a kid... they are the meanest fish I've ever caught... they would actually walk back into the river on their own

I love that we keep these things. If I could translate the barking, I would probably get banned for the shocking language these cats are using. But, can't blame them. If someone pierced my lip, dragged me around by it, and held me underwater, the words that would be coming out of my mouth...

:swear:

They're so cute! Got to love the personality.

Channels are about the worst of all. They do it a lot. My guy can only make a half effort though. His one fin spine was ripped out completely from the socket by my late jau(ryan). Funny thing is this guy is way bigger than my new jau. Kinda scared of what their first meeting will be like. Might go something like oh look at that cute lil jau just like the one that ate my brother and tore my fin off. Gulp! hehehe! Sorry master Cliff!

Well, I got my big guy out of the tank tonight to see if I could try a recommended method to get rid of gill curl. He hollered for a few seconds, but the could not have been any calmer. He let me do what ever I needed (no surgery was don't, just a little massaging). i can't believe how loud he was, so I can't imagine Necro's.

To do the massaging you really should leave them in the tank most RTC's will come to enjoy the "petting"

Being that he was in 180, inside a tight area, there was no way to get to him. Once I got him, I set him a rubbermaid tub with antibiotics, slim coat, and an air filter. While I was rubbing his gill covers, I offered him is favorite foods. He just kept hanging out with me. When he wanted a break, he would swim away, and then just come back. He was perfectly happy. It was just that this way I could put a broad spectrum antibiotic in with him without effecting the biofiltration. He was so cute in that he kept coming back to me. I think he wasn;t happy being pulled out of the water, but other than that he was totally content.
