Barra aggression

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Barra can be aggressive to other barra, other fish, etc. It all depends on tank size/fish size and most importantly individual fish. I have barra that is a sweetheart. I know people who say two barra won't get along or their barra doesn't like any other fish when it gets to 2ft or so. Also things like feeding live will make any fish more aggressive.

Not saying you do but for anyone viewing prepared food seems to take some aggression out of most fish.

Their diet is pretty simple:
Pellets
Bloodworms
Shrimp pellets
and feeders once a month

Thanks for the info :)

my dominant barra went on an aggression spree before.
but he toned down after a while.

Hopefully he tones down with the aggression, I don't want these two fighting.

I get a litle bit of aggression with my two. Sometiems the more dominant one will have a snap at the other. But it usually only lasts a few seconds and its over. Maybe happens once a week or fortnight. Never anything serious.
