Barramundi color change

Ok, I've never seen or read anything about it before.... but I have three Barramundi and when I turn the tank lights on they're a really light colour - nearly white..... this lasts for about 10 seconds then they go back to they're normal silver with black patterns.

Is this normal?

i think they do change color alot.
when they were at the lfs,they were whitish silver with grey blotches.
in my tank theyre usually all grey.
but during water changes theyre totally grey with some white blotches.

It's really strange I reckon.

This is very normal. Both my barra constantly change colour from pure silver and not a dark blotch on them through to conpletely mottled. It all depends on the mood.

same wid mine except now they dont do it anymore(or maybe i dont see it)

i think when they get bigger they dont do it.
because theyre pretty much grey when bigger.

I like it when they are silver with the mottled black patches and when the white stripe on their head stands out heaps.

As they get bigger I suspect them to be the normal silver/grey.

yep...
thats what they look like when theyre bigger.
all grey and silver.
but some keep the head stripe for very long.
