I went into my local LFS today and was surprised to find that they had recently gotten three 2" barramundi in, so I got two of them. I know that they get big (over 3', sometimes up to 6') and that they grow slowly but how slow are we talking here?
They actually grow pretty quickly up to around the 15-18 inch mark. Should hit that mark in about the first year, year and a half. After that it will slow down a little.

They grow very fast in the first year if you can keep the food up to them 24 inches or bigger.
Have a dam with quite a collection of Barra that have outgrown their tanks.
Ah, gotcha. My current plans are to keep these two will be by themselves (as they are now), so the aggression during feeding shouldn't be too big of a deal then, right?
