Barramundi in the US?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Agreed, they are pretty cheap and not surprisingly they seem to be pretty popular in the Asian supermarkets where you can find live specimens in the eight to ten inch range. They might not be in the best of shape though.

I bought my 2" Lates calcarifer from Wes Wong a year ago but I can't recall for how much, less than $50 if memory serves, may be even ~$25. fugupuff fugupuff

Someone posted a picture recently of a grocery store tank with a bunch of large barramundi ... again IIRC at $15 a piece. But I think this was in SE Asia. Does anyone remember which thread it was in?

They say you can find literally anything in Chinatown. I'd recommend to take along a bucket full of discretion too. ;)
