behind my iMac.... Southampton UK.
It would seem i may have stubbled accross a fish farm and from what i can assertain they may well breed barramundi! not 100% it is certainly listed in there products.... all i could get on the phone was the sales departement and the girl said "im sure we farm them" so im now sat here jumping up and down... waiting to find out more! this place is with in 45min of my house... if they do i got some barra!

I think ill make the hairs on back of there neck stand up when i tell them what i will happily pay if they ever get a live gold or platinum through!!!

I've no bloody intentions of buying one but do you mind telling me the contact for the famr to see what other stock they have? Understand if you don't want to
make sure you post pics if you do get a barra-thats damn rare for UK.

i will send u pm with the relevant once i fully attain it, so far ive spoken to the receptionist in the accounts departement... but the companys name is new forest barramuni... there are many farms though out the world that aquacultre fish for the food industry.... salmon or trout farms for example, i think barra is fairly trendy in the restraunt biz right now as ostrech was few years ago, so not sure how or what other fish would be avalible and am still doubt full they will even sell a live specimen so i may get creative about how to aquire it....

thats if they do spawn them in country...

if not i got a friend who just moved to oz to shack up with this girl, her dad has a private pond with a couple of thousand barras... he promised me pics so i will get them up when i receive them... but im also looking at frieght cost and importation laws, but all perch are illegal to import on face value looking at the law in black and white, only enough nile perch and dats come in to country so there must be a loop hole some where...

congrats!
i know that barras are actually farmed to be eaten.
and we get our barras from the farms here in singapore as well.

Hi mate. i've noticed you're local- I'm from Romsey. the Barramundi farm are producing them for resturaunts in the local area. i know this because we've actually had it on our menu here a short while ago. Probably not what you wanted to hear but it's very good! my parents own a (gastro) pub just outside Romsey.

I think the farm in Lymington way but i can certainly find out for you.
