Barred yoyo loach

Found one the other day at the pet store and was wondering anyone has seen that pattern before. I know they have different patterns but I've never came across barred.

Could it be a different species? Botia rostrata can have bands sometimes, and there is another species whose name escapes me that looks basically like a yoyo loach but without the YoYoYo marks, and bands instead.

looks like an odd ball yoyo loach to me, cool find!

That is botia rostrata! Nice find. My first guess before I saw the pic was Botia historanica, because they come in all the time as yoyos or kubotai, (at least at my LFS) but I have only found rostrata once!

It does resemble rostrata with the straight bars, but I think I see the very top of a couple Y's way up top of the loach. Striking loach nontheless

It should be interesting to see if it is. Guess it should change bar patterns if it is what you may seem to think. How rare are rostratas ? Can't say that I've seen them anywhere really.
