Not long? From what I know about 1 1/2" a month growth rate at least til 18" or so? I've personally seen about 1" a month on mine.. Li got his a while ago at 19" and it's now about 24"+? Hope that can kinda help put it into consideration.

Great fish if you can have a home for them after 2ft ish.

Umm thats too fast, i more than likely won't get one it was just a thought, its best to ask Q's first.

yeah buying one small you might even get 2 years out of a 6x2x2, but I wouldn't suggest without something like 8x4x3(and a plan if the freak gets bigger) keeping one long term.

Bogwood, check out swordspine snook if you like barramundi looks. Looks like a little brother, lives in full freshwater and stays 30cm or so. :)

i keep barramundi and heres some reading. this is a chart that expleins it all for groth rates:

heres some more info. but i really dont recommend that you keep barramundi unless u have a place fer it for life, have someone who WILL buy it.or u put it down which i do not advocate. i have a 5000gallon pond on the way so im pretty sure i can keep them fer life.
