Base color for stingray's tank

Hi Guys,

I am making a new tank for my rays and I am thinking of putting tiles inside the tank. I wonder what is the best color tiles for the stingray to show their color? I have 1 pair of Leopoldi, 1 pc of flower ray, 1 pc of henlei.
Some people said that for the flower ray it is best to use black base, but for leos it is best to use light color.. Is that right?
I am thinking of using sandstone color tiles.

What's your thoughts?

But can the flower ray turn black if we use white color?

I use black for all my rays and all the rays that I've gotten after I started using that method came out more pronounced that the other ones.

I really think so sort of sand should be use. Rays really like to burry themselves and I think it's unfair to take that away from them.

yeah i agree, sand is best to let them be able to bury if they want, and for a color, a nice contrasting color would be nice but that may stress them out a little, i would got with something close to their color so they can blend in more.

Go for a black tile and white sand or vice-versa
