Finishing up my cycle process I have live sand and 20lbs of live rock (all I could afford at 6.99 per pound) in my 75 gallon I wanted to get just a little more live and get the rest base rock. How long does it take to make the base rock live rock with the sand and live rock already having coraline algea on it?
Thanks
Glenn

ok cool I will def do that I have it stacked right by my fx5 right now so good flow there with the power head shooting towards it so good movement I ended up with a 750gph powerhead so its working nicely. Should I be ok with the 20lbs of live rock and the rest base rock or should I get more and less base rock?

What kind of lights did you go with, I forgot. Coralline growth likes a crap ton of blue lighting.

Yes, your current plans will be fine.

x2.

Running just actinic lighting for a while will really help get the coralline algae going while keeping nuisance algae to a minimum.

its def a blue light dont remember what kind of wattage I have had it for a while but I have been running 12 hours on 12 hours off to help the algea...

buddy of mine going to octopus tank giving me 20lbs of coraline live rock and 4-5 fish for 60 bux!

should I get rid of my FX5 and get two aquaclear 110s?
