I can't believe that this story hasn't caught fire. I'm never going near a maple tree again. I won't even have syrup on my pancakes anymore. EVERYBODY PANIC!

didn't read all of it, but i'm sure that it really wouldn't matter what type of bat hit her, wood is wood, and an ash bat would still hurt her.

Idk if this is the same injury....... but last year same thing happened.... and Joe madden( rays manager) was very outspoken against maple bats.... basically saying they should be banned from baseball..... I do believe that maple bats should be removed from the game...... ample bats can break and shater unpredictabbly and more often than ash..... MAple bats are more dangerpus and can break for no reason ..... there is no advantage to maple just personal prefrence
