Hey you pike cichlid keepers, i am very interested in buying four 6 inch apabapo pikes for my 75 gallon tank and i can't find any info about them. Here are some question that i have:

>can 4 pike live in a 75 gallon tank for life or at least for 3 years with little aggresion??

>Can they live with 3 bichirs of 5 inches??

>How many do i need to get to stop the aggression.

>What's the minimum size tank and max size of these fish??

>Growth rate??

>are they considered one of the more aggresive pike species??

>what they eat.

Thanks for answering. BTW, if the atabapos aren't suitable, i won't buy them so don't flip out. Just want basic understanding of this awesome fish.

I know there are atabapo keepers out there......

I dont have any but they get 14-16" a 75g wouldnt work. They are aggressive, and they like meaty foods as for the rest of your questions hopefully someone else can chime in.

I have 7 in a 270 with a red aro. They range in size from 11-13". I see very little aggression, just a bit of shoving. The red aro is way more aggro towards the pikes than they are towards each other. Temps need to be in the mid-80s and water very soft. Unfortunately a 75 is just too small for a fish that gets to 15-16".
