very nice

Your tanks continue to amaze and quite frankly stun nutty.

Looks good.. i've been experimenting with hornwort in my CA tanks with some luck. I'll have to give the egeria densa a shot. Lee have you tried water sprite in any of your setups?

Hornwort is great, as it can also grow floating. Egeria densa, is a very easy plant to grow, more or less the same as the North American variety. Yes I've tried water sprite, can also be used as a floater and good for soaking upo those high nitrate levels. ;)

The plant choice was also influences by aquatic fauna found along Costa Rica waterways, which helps make the multispinosus tank a little more authentic, although certainly not a strict biotope. The multispinosus biotope is something I want to try a little later on in this tank.

Absolutely stunning :) What kind of lighting are you using again? CO2 / Seachem Flourish? Nutrient Dosing?

Quite low tech, two T8 daylight tubes with reflectors, no c02 injection, however the Hairgrass may benefit a little, this I will have to see over the coming weeks after planting it. I'm using a layer of Redsea flora base, only in the planted area's , no nutrient dosing as I want to see how low tech approach I can get out of the tank. As the plants aren't broad leaved, I'm hoping the flora base supplies enough nutrients through the roots alone?

We'll see how we get on as it's more an experiment project, initial signs are good. :)
