Basic Flowerhorn Help thread

This is not just for me. Everyone please ask questions. I'll start it off though with a few

1. Why does my flowerhorn dramatically go from dark, to bright colors within minutes. Why doesn't he just stay bright and good looking

2. Why does my flowerhorn mosy around so slowly, he doesn't really swim around much like an Oscar

3. What to do if my flowerhorn won't eat a new food? How long is it safe to starve them
