So my eventual dream tank is to have 2-3 peacock bass and wanted to know what the proper tank size would be? I was thinking 8'x3'x3' is this correct? Figured i'd get some input from some experienced pbass owners even though i probably won't have this setup for 10+ years - I know there are lots of different kinds of pbass, is the difference soley in their patterns or are there size differences as well? Thanks for the input in advance I'm just curious about them

They all get larger than 2' fully grown. The largest are temensis. 3 adult pbass would do well in a 8x3x3, you could probably even through some more in.

sweet.... i will make that footprint my eventual goal then ;D

Yea you should be fine with a few pbass in that size tank. Although i would suggest avoiding temensis, they can reach 3' in length! Any other cichla would work great.

I was considering Cichla intermedia / Royal Peacock, this probably won't be for at least 10 years though, plenty of time to plan ;)

If you start looking now, by that time, if you're lucky, you may find that strain of cichla for sale! :D
