where did u see this thing? was it by any chance in lebanon?

o that sucks, lebanon aquarium and pet center has a tank/lizard enviornment with a basilisk that is awesome! i wasnt sure if uve been there/seen it

they get like 3-4 feet long, and need a large cage. go to the thread "My Massive Terrarium Undertaking". that is a good size enclosure for one, as the are active lizards.

they are aboreal, so hight is important, but so are the other dimensions:p. do a google search for chinese water dragon. that should get you some good info.

They need a large aboreal terrerarium ( like the one I was building for them but could not find a male) . They need super high humidity and a large water area for soaking and swimming. They are also very skittish by nature and have to have uvb or can develope metabolic bone desiease.

yes, they make good display animals. however in the captive setting they only get around 2-3ft. A large encloser is in order with plenty of live or silk plants. plant cover is necessary for the side panel of the tank. Try get a well stated juvi. he'll calm down with time. diet and lighting are important. Try cb roaches or grasshoppers, crickets and wax worms r ok Id also try what they call butter worms their high in ca. lighting use mercury vapors. Use wit caution dont cook ur lizard.
