she will not eat her meal worms in her bowl is it becuase i only have a 75 wat heat bulb the tank is a 60 gallon she is also crazy about one glass panel on the tank and she scratches at the glass alot wat does it mean:nilly:?

I do not know much about basilisk, but if anyone is going to answer your question they are going to need more details like temperatures (hot and cool side),age, substarte, humidity, how long have you had the lizard, was the lizard ever eating, or any other onfo you can provide. Best of luck too you.

It may be stress from the new enclosure.. may abso be that the new enclosure isnt warm enough on the hot end. they need a warm spot of about 95ish degrees, and a cool end of about 80. high humidity is also important, and if their basking spot is a perch you can often place the water bowl under it to increase humidity.

the head bobing sounds like a territorial display, your animal may in fact be a young male.

how big of a water dish have you got in there?
what kind of substrate are you using?
is the top of the tank open(screen/ mesh/ other) or covered?
are you using suppliments?
what about UVB lighting?

large water bowl made for snakes, jungle bedding, and cypress bedding, has two mesh doors on top and hot end has 100 wat heat bulb and has perch under it.

could be gravid , sometimes go off eating untill they lay , does she have some where to dig?. they will lay eggs , good or not. Like kerickson978 said male will head bob , female will wave at you like they are saying hello from a distance , its funny looking untill the other female waves back, then watch out!

Ok first of I think your using a kind of a bad aproach to heat your basilisk enclosure. Insted of one big bulb like your using you should go for 2 or more weaker bulbs. I wouldnt even use a 100w bulb in one of mine huge ig enclosures let alone in a tank the size of yours. In a tank that size I wouldnt go for more then a 60 w one. By my experience with basilisks, very strong bulbs are a resepy for burns and shedding problems in their crests. I hope the bulb is outside the cage! Second basilisks DONT need temps in the 95 degrees level! This are RAIN FOREST lizards, they spend alot of time covered by leafs wich cover alot of sun ligth. Go for 90 at basking spot maximum, 80 is good as average cage temp. To heat the cage I would do this: get 2 florescent 5.0 uvb lamps to ligth the cage wich by themselfes will produce some good soft heat and instal a termostat controled 60-40w bulb, that will do more then good for day time heat and will save you electricity. Also you need a heat pad for nigth time heat. Also its important to remenbar that basilisks are NOT good reptiles to keep on terrarium coverted fish tanks, they lack visual barriers, space and high to properly climb. Basilisks are VERY prone to hurt their snout on glass. You should seriously consider converting a small wardrobe to house your basilisk. Fish tanks are only good for baby basilisks, with time they grow too active, big and strong to be housed in that way. This alone would explain why she is quiting eating. There is also alot of other reasons why she quit eating, anorexia is a simpton not a problem, if she is gravid that can mean big problems!
