Basking spot placement?

I'm just curious on what side of the tank do you normally put your basking spot on? For some odd reason I always end up for the most part end up putting mine on the left. Just naturally.

Wow I was just thinking about that. I put mine on the right probably 90% of the time. Currently my turtles' basking spot is on the left because the turtle docks are made to go on the left (the ramp is on the right).

I have a feeling its due to which hand you favor IE you are right or Left handed. I'm right handed and highly mechanical so I'm very much in my left brain, where as artistic and left handed people are right brained...

Of course it isn't proven.

However all my cages have Left side hot spots weather they are built or bought.

Generally mine is on the left. But depends on the setup.

Both my rhino and monitors have 2 hot spots one on the left and one kinda center.
My big iguana has one on the left and the bearded in on the left as well.
Oh and my roaches hot spot is on the left as well
